Dear People Who Like Their Films to Have Happy Endings,
I hate you. Don’t take it so personally though. I don’t necessarily hate your way of life, your style of dress, your family, your music, your religion or your political affiliation. I just don’t like your taste in film endings.
You are the reason Hollywood has and continues to churn out rubbish films. Wrapping the endings up in a tight little bow, giving the hero a femme fatale and a love interest, making them get married and drive off in a limo with cans a-clanging.Why should the bad guy get caught? Why shouldn’t the hero kill himself or die a less than noble death?
